STUDENT PODS LAND IN CARDIFF, AVAILABLE TO LET THIS YEAR.
Student accommodation in the UK is booming. Reports from Savills, state that £5.8bn was pumped into the market last year, and private, student pod investments and developments continue to spring up on prime city centre sites. Since 2006, the private sector has gone from providing 18% of bed spaces to 41% and in Cardiff this is no exception. Student numbers are expected to increase which coincide with the lifted cap on student admissions to university.
Cardiff’s example is Windsor House, which redefines student living, Keylet have partnered with Fusion Students to offer these high spec, boutique rooms with en suites and flat screen TV’s. With a renewed focus on communal social spaces for students, Windsor House has it all. With an on-site cinema, a games room, residents bar, cooling room, quiet studying areas and a cycle store, students need only leave the site to attend lectures. Studio’s and ‘Twodio’s’ are available to let for next academic year, September 2016.
