KEYLET TAKE PART IN SLEEP OUT FOR HOMELESS CHARITY LLAMAU.
Imagine having nowhere to live.
What would you do? Where would you go for help? How would you survive?
LLamau (pronounced Lamb-Eye) is Wales’s leading homelessness charity, based in Cardiff but supporting projects across Wales. Llamau provides accommodation, housing advice to homeless and vulnerable young women in Wales. Keylet have teamed up with the charity to take part in a unique fundraising event,Sleep Out, which is from 7pm – 7am! An all-nighter in November at Cardiff City Stadium to help support and raise awareness for homeless and disadvantaged young people in South Wales.
So for one night the staff are swapping their beds for a sleeping bag and will experience a ‘good night’s sleep’ on the cold hard floor! It will be a challenge trying to sleep on cardboard boxes during winter, but whilst the fundraising event is designed to raise awareness of homelessness and the funds we raise tackle the issue, they do not claim to replicate homelessness in any way. Llamau runs the sleep out in Cardiff in the same month as other Sleep Out events taking place in the whole of the UK.
There are ten members of staff taking part in this event and we are looking to raise several thousands of pounds to support the event, if all of our clients donated just £1 each we would reach the target required to help maintain the frontline services of what Llamau do.
Please dig deep and donate on our Just Giving Page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Keylet
We will keep you updated with our fundraising efforts over the next couple of months!
Thank You for your support!
