Covid means private landlords need agents more than ever

Even if it isn’t part of your business model, using an agent to manage your properties has become increasingly popular in 2020. Laws and legislations are being changed rapidly, exacerbating the complications of owning rental property in the roller coaster year of 2020.

This year has been fraught with struggles for private landlords. From tenants leaving properties due to redundancy and job losses, it’s become a lot more difficult to manage properties than in the pre covid era.

Why should I work with an agent

Working with a professional agency eases the pressure and stress of being a Landlord. It allows you to focus your efforts on growing your property portfolio, instead of chasing after tenants.

Our landlords say that the hardest part of being a landlord is finding good quality, reliable tenants. We ensure that you have a steady stream of tenants that are vetted and appropriate for the property.

How can I find new tenants?

We know that finding tenants is usually the hardest part of the job.

If you’re a landlord, chances are that finding new tenants is the hardest part of your job. Ensuring that your property is constantly occupied can be a battle, and by having a managed property, you can leave all of the hard work to us.

If a tenant leaves a property, you can be sure they will be replaced with another quality tenant. We make sure your property is left in perfect condition for you, and fresh and clean for the next tenant.

Our process is very simple; we find the tenant, they pay a holding fee to secure your property, and then undergo stringent reference and credit checks. Once we are satisfied that they are a good fit for your property, whether you desire a short term or long term tenant.

Local lockdowns

Now that we are in a local lockdown and in tier 4 in Wales, travel outside of your tiers is banned. If you live in England, then you aren’t allowed to come into Wales. This means that we are able to service your properties for you, arrange local viewings and deal with any legal matters for you, in your absence. This avoids loss of time, money and damage to your property during lockdown.

Legal disputes

The Coronavirus Act 2020 has had a huge impact on landlords and tenants across the UK.

It has changed several laws around how both parties are able to operate. Our team of property experts are here to help and, in the worst case scenario, can act on your behalf.
